Music fans should take matters into their own hands, plan a trip to the USA, and book this unique stay. Of all the celebrity homes on this list, this is the most epic. In fact, it's the only house owned by Elvis in the world to offer nightly tours to fans.

The two-bedroom flat has since been restored. As a result, it has been restored to its former mid-century glory. Highlights include vintage furniture and an exceptional collection of classic Presley films for Rock and Roll movie nights.

And there's even a frying pan and recipe card for making Elvis' favourite sandwiches if the craving for a calorific midnight feast strikes. They're actually fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

An overnight stay in the Elvis flat costs 240 euros per night. Reservations can only be made by calling +1 901 523 8662.

Nostalgic for his home town, Chaplin's aim was to create a miniature English estate in the heart of the city. His design vision focused on faux Tudor beams, leaded glass windows and the planting of cottage gardens. After Chaplin's departure in the 1940s, the estate fell into disrepair. But it has since been painstakingly renovated, with vintage typewriters and classic items dotting the interiors.

Each of the 13 cottages has since been named after a distinguished former guest, including Betty, Clark, Gregory and, of course, Charlie's pied-à-terre.
